Terms
These terms apply to this website and to downloading the Dictum installer from it. They are offered by Sciscribe Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India (“Sciscribe”, “we”).
The software is licensed by agreement
Dictum is licensed to laboratories under a written agreement with Sciscribe. That agreement — not this page — governs installing and using the software in a lab: who may use it, on how many PCs, support, and fees. If you have downloaded Dictum without such an agreement, you may install it to evaluate it with synthetic data; please contact us before using it with patient data.
The pathologist signs the report
Dictum is a writing and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose. It has no diagnostic algorithm and generates no diagnostic text: macros insert the lab’s own wording, and every report is reviewed, completed and signed by the pathologist, who remains professionally responsible for it. Checks such as the before-signing checklist help find omissions; they are not a guarantee that a report is complete or correct.
The lab keeps its own data — and its own keys
The lab’s data lives on the lab’s PCs and, encrypted, in the lab’s own Google account. The lab is responsible for those PCs, that account, its passphrase, and its printed 24-word recovery key. Sciscribe cannot recover a lost passphrase or recovery key, because we never hold either; without one of them, encrypted backups cannot be read by anyone.
This website
We publish this site as is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or always online. Nothing on it is medical advice.
